It's the final free practice session of the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend. See who looks strong ahead of Qualifying
The drivers took to the track for the final free practice session of the weekend in Las Vegas. After the practice sessions on Thursday evening, the take-aways were that Mercedes look strong, Ferrari should be contenders, and most surprisingly, Red Bull looks to be on the back foot. See who looks strong out on track:
- Valtteri Bottas has a 5-place grid penalty for the Grand Prix because he took a new Energy Store for his car
- The conditions out on track were very tricky for the drivers as the temperatures are cold which creates a lack of grip for the cars
- The dust and cool temperatures make it very difficult for the tires to get up to temperature
- Sergio Perez seems to be struggling with the track temperatures and wasn't able to get a solid lap in the early stages of FP3
- After a terrible day on Thursday, Alex Albon was able to get out on track and set some times ahead of qualifying
- Max Verstappen told his engineers that the car is 'undriveable'
- He also claimed that he is 'going to crash' as he cannot get any grip
- Lance Stroll brought out the red flag as his car started smoking near the front brakes
- This paused the session briefly as the marshals got the car out of the way
- Williams looked stronger today with Alex Albon finishing the session in P7 and Franco Colapinto finishing in P8
- Mercedes continues to look strong with George Russell topping the session and Lewis Hamilton finishing in P6
- George Russell topped the session ahead of Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz
