Was Red Bull able to convert another front row lockout into a win?
Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez started in the front row. Were they able to capitalize on the leading position? Here's what happened:
- Just after the start of the opening lap a red flag fell after RB's Daniel Ricciardo cut into Alex Albon, forcing them both into the barrier. Alex had been to the far right of the track but that wasn't enough top avoid the collision
- Teams were able to change tires during the red flag, and many opted for fresh tires including Ferrari putting new mediums on Charles Leclerc's car and both Mercedes drivers switching to hards
- Yuki Tsunoda had an impressive drive but the likes of Ferrari stole the show. Carlos Sainz trailed the Red Bulls and was able to secure P3 in the race
- Red Bull converted their 1-2 start to a win, with Max Verstappen claiming the fastest lap for good measure. Sergio Perez had an impressive drive to hold onto second place
