Japanese Grand Prix Qualifying Results

It's that time again at the Suzuka International Racing Course! Any glimpse of rain disappeared in time for the Qualifying session that proved to be an exciting one. Here's what you need to know:

Teams clogged the pit exit in the final minutes of Q1 as they delayed to extract the maximum benefits of track evolution. That worked for many, knocking Alex Albon down to P15, but it wasn't enough for Pierre Gasly or Zhou Guanyu who were eliminated
Nico Hulkenberg had his Q2 lap time deleted after going wide on turn 13. While the penalty forced him to run another lap in the final minute, it didn't matter as that time wasn't enough to make it into Q3
Yuki Tsunoda clutched a P10 finish at the end of Q2 and knocked out teammate Daniel Ricciardo
Q3 was the Max Verstappen show. He was unstoppable and only improved the gap in the final laps. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc both expressed their confusion as to how to close the gap, finishing P7 and P8, respectively
