It's official time to test the timesheets. See how teams fared when put to the test at the Hungarian Grand Prix:

• Contrast to the extreme heat of prior sessions, the qualifying hour kicked off with the track being declared 'wet' due to intermittent rain. That opened the teams up to alternate tire options (intermediate, wet) but everyone stayed on slicks
• Sergio Perez hit the barrier hard and red flagged Q1 with just under 7 minutes left, continuing his streak of poor qualifying results. The Mexican Minister of Defense hasn't qualified in the top 7 since Miami
• When Q1 resumed, DRS was disabled which made things dangerous and claimed George Russell at the very last lap. George finished P17 behind Checo but ahead of Guanyu Zhou and both Alpine drivers
• Teams scrambled in the final 2 minutes of Q2, with everyone trying to set one final lap time. Both VCARB drivers jumped out of the drop zone and Lewis Hamilton held out from elimination by just 0.01s over Nico Hulkenberg in the Haas
• The final 12 minutes ratcheted up the intensity. Max Verstappen came out of the gate strong, setting purple sector times across all three sectors until Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri surpassed him
• Yuki Tsunoda's car flew into the barrier bringing a red flag to the session with just over 2 minutes left
• With such a short time to resume the session, the McLarens clogged the pit lane and prevented and further position changes. Lando Noriss finished P1 and Oscar Piastri P2 as the session drew to a close
