Audi advances F1 engine development

Audi has provided an update on its new Formula 1 engine development, as they've revealed successful dyno tests at its Neuburg headquarters covering race distances. Scheduled to debut in 2026, Audi plans to replace Sauber on the grid, with CEO Adam Baker and CTO Stefan Dreyer confirming progress is on track. They mentioned improvements at their upgraded facility with 22 advanced test benches. Audi plans to refine its power unit further after achieving race distances in testing, using insights from various venues, including the Las Vegas circuit.

Jos Verstappen feuds with Horner over parade exclusion

Jos Verstappen has reignited his feud with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner by accusing him of forcing him out of the legends parade at the Austrian Grand Prix. Despite earlier debates, Max Verstappen plans to stay with Red Bull following accusations against Horner's leadership, which were investigated and denied. Jos Verstappen previously warned of Red Bull turmoil if Horner stayed and had a heated exchange with him in Bahrain. Recently, Jos publicly expressed disappointment after allegedly being excluded from the parade by Horner.

Mercedes commits to carbon removal for Net Zero goals

Mercedes Formula One team has invested in carbon removal initiatives, including purchasing carbon removal through Frontier. They've committed to a three-year soil carbon removal project in the UK to offset residual carbon emissions, which is part of their strategy to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040.

Who is Harry Benjamin?

David Croft will not be commentating at this weekend's race at the Red Bull Ring, having announced earlier this year that he would step aside for Imola, Austria, and Azerbaijan to take some personal time off. Harry Benjamin, who has experience with Formula 2, Formula 3, and BBC 5 Live’s F1, will take over the commentary duties.
