McLaren debuts low-downforce wing for British GP

McLaren is increasing pressure on Red Bull in the F1 title race by introducing a new low-downforce rear wing for the British Grand Prix. This upgrade aims to reduce drag, which is crucial for the high-speed Silverstone circuit. In response, Red Bull has teased upgrades to the RB20, focusing on subtle changes to the floor and edge wing to maintain airflow stability. Other teams, including Ferrari, Mercedes, Haas, and Aston Martin, have also made various upgrades to improve performance at Silverstone.

Pirelli unveils new C6 tire for street circuits

Pirelli plans to introduce a sixth tire compound next year, aimed at enhancing racing on street circuits by offering a softer option. This compound has been tested at Paul Ricard and will be tested again at Monza. Along with the new C6, Pirelli plans to soften other compounds in its range, making the C2 closer to the C3 while keeping the C1 as the hardest tire.

Gasly picks ‘best option’ as Alpine teammate for 2025

Pierre Gasly stated that he prefers Carlos Sainz as his teammate at Alpine for 2025. Gasly recently signed a multi-year contract extension with Alpine, which coincided with Esteban Ocon's announced departure. While several candidates, including Jack Doohan and Mick Schumacher, have been linked to the seat, Gasly favors Sainz.
