Adrian Newey has reportedly decided to join Aston Martin after leaving Red Bull in the early summer of 2025. Although he had previously indicated a desire to take a break from F1, Newey is said to be attracted by Aston Martin's future prospects and resources. Autosprint claims that Newey was convinced by a visit to Aston Martin's factory and a lucrative $100 million offer. An official announcement is expected in September, following his current contractual obligations with Red Bull.

Earlier this summer, Red Bull Powertrains opened its doors to the media to showcase its 2026 F1 engine project. The 2026 regulations will eliminate the MGU-H and introduce nearly equal parts of electric and internal combustion power. With Honda leaving, Red Bull is now developing its own engines in partnership with Ford. The facility is high-tech and includes strict testing to support Red Bull's goal of controlling both the engine and chassis.
