Porsche rules out F1 return after failed Red Bull deal

Porsche's vice president, Thomas Laudenbach, has stated that Porsche won't return to Formula 1 after their talks with Red Bull fell through. The plan was for Porsche to own half of Red Bull and supply engines for the 2026 season, but the deal didn't work out. Now, Red Bull will make its own engines with help from Ford. Laudenbach added that Porsche is happy with its current motorsport activities and has no plans to rejoin F1. "It is off the table: right now F1 is not a task for us and we are not spending any energy on that," Laudenbach explained. "We are only focused on what we do right now, and if you look at it, we have many different activities: we are well-occupied and extremely happy with what we do."

Vips previously raced in IndyCar in 2023 and finished eighteenth at the Portland and Laguna Seca Grands Prix.

Adrian Newey has finalized a $100 million contract with Aston Martin, which ends his successful tenure at Red Bull Racing. His new contract, starting in early 2025, will last three years and pay him twice what he earned at Red Bull. Talks with Ferrari failed because Newey's demands were too high. His move to Aston Martin is expected to boost the team's performance, especially with upcoming changes in F1 rules.

Ferrari chooses Serra over Elliott for Technical Director

Loïc Serra will become Ferrari's new technical director, replacing Enrico Cardile, who is moving to Aston Martin. Serra is coming from Mercedes and will start later in the F1 2024 season.
