The first full-time Chinese F1 racer, Zhou Guanyu, insists a contract with Alfa Romeo is “very close.” There was word from Alfa Romeo’s F1 Managing Director Alessandro Alunni Bravi that supported both Zhou and Bottas returning in 2024, which would certainly make things consistent for the team. Speaking further, Zhou said “I’m happy to be together, spending more and more years together with this team. The future is bright for where the team is heading."

Drivers are no stranger to the random fan getting out of hand, but Monza apparently crossed a line for Alpine driver Pierre Gasly. It was reported that mechanics were having to navigate equipment around fans, and that fans went so far as to knock on Pierre’s private room inside the team’s hospitality area. This isn’t the first incident either. Lando Norris spoke on the topic after Mexico 2022: "I would say there's not as many other sports where fans can get maybe quite as close now to the athletes. But in a lot of the other sports, they just seem more respectful. They need to show that [respect] more often. As simple as that."

Entering Singapore, the FIA is imposing a new technical directive - TD018 - which addresses teams’ ability to manipulate the flexibility of front and rear wings to give them an advantage. While some teams may need to adapt, Red Bull Team Principal shrugged off the change. “We’ve seen a few rubbery nose boxes, shall we say, so we’ll see those get addressed, I guess, in Singapore.”

The famous Singaporean street circuit received a facelift for 2023, removing Turns 16 to 19. This reduced the overall track length, shaving nearly 20 seconds off the expected lap times. While this will increase speeds on this section of the track, it will not stop the intensity of an already high-octane circuit.
