Following Ferrari’s catastrophic incident involving a loose water valve drain during a red-flagged FP1, F1 and local authorities raced against the clock to solve the problem and ensure the entire circuit was safe for racing to resume. The work inevitably delayed the start of Free Practice 2 by two and a half hours to 2:30AM. Caught in the crossfire were the fans who, at 1:30AM, were forced to leave the circuit groups abruptly because security personnel were to end their shifts. The Las Vegas GP, run by Formula 1, spoke on the matter: “Given the lateness of the hour and logistical concerns regarding the safe movement of fans and employees out of the circuit, LVGP made the difficult decision to close the fan zones prior to the beginning of free practice two.

New investment values Aston Martin at $1.2B

Bloomberg's valuation of the Formula 1 team owned by Lawrence Stroll, who recently sold a minority stake to Arctos Partners, estimates its worth at around £1 billion ($1.2 billion). Stroll emphasized that the investment isn't due to financial constraints for Aston Martin, stating that the team is profitable.
