Hamilton offered £40m in transfer coup
Ferrari has offered Lewis Hamilton £40 million to leave Mercedes, providing him with an alternative option for 2024 and beyond. Talks between Hamilton and Ferrari are progressing, with Ferrari's president, John Elkann, in close contact with Hamilton. There are two possible scenarios for the switch: either Carlos Sainz would be replaced at Ferrari, allowing Hamilton to partner Charles Leclerc, or Leclerc would move to Mercedes in exchange for Hamilton, with Hamilton partnering Sainz. The success of Mercedes' planned upgrades could play a role in Hamilton's decision to stay with the team.

Gasly reduces ban risk as penalty points expire
Pierre Gasly's threat of a race ban shrank as two penalty points on his Super Licence expired. He was close to receiving a ban with ten points accumulated but he now has eight. The stewards have been more lenient this season, with only Carlos Sainz receiving penalty points so far. Gasly's points will remain at eight until July 10, when three more points will be dropped. Currently, Gasly has the highest number of penalty points, followed by Alexander Albon and Lance Stroll, with five each. On the other hand, drivers like Valtteri Bottas, Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastri, Nico Hulkenberg, Nyck de Vries, and Logan Sargeant have no penalty points on their licenses.
